Maison Bibliothèque was founded in Geneva in 1894 by three booksellers convinced that the rarest works deserved the same care as paintings, jewels and historical artefacts. We have refined that conviction for four generations.
Philosophy
Curation over volume.
We decline more than we accept. The catalogue you see is the result of decades of relationships with estates, libraries and private collectors who entrust us with placement.
Atelier
Conservation in-house.
Our Geneva atelier employs four full-time conservators trained in vellum, paper, leather and gilt restoration. Every volume is examined and documented before entering the catalogue.
